Manx economy stays strong during recession

Chief Minister Allan Bell

The latest Treasury figures on the Island's national income for 2010 to 2011 are in and the Chief Minister says they are encouraging.

Despite the 12 month delay, the year shows a total GDP of £3.4 billion, making it the twenty eighth year of growth in the Isle of Man's economy.

Allan Bell says the statistics show the Island has fared well under the recession but we cannot be complacent.
