The Manx National Trust will have the ultimate say on what happens next with the now vacant Barclay's Bank building in Castletown.
Barclay's have closed the branch due to a lack of customers, and transactions, making it uneconomic.
They are keeping an ATM in the town, and have vowed to protect all of the affected jobs.
The building is owned by the Manx Museum and the MNH, who say they are yet to be notified by Barclay's of their intent to terminate the existing agreement.
Although Minister for Enterprise Tim Johnston said the decision lies solely with the two bodies, he has said his department will offer whatever help needed in identifying new tenants.
