A photographer's managed to capture a rare glimpse of a comet before it vanishes from the Island's view.
The 12P Pons Brooks comet is currently passing through the solar system and is noticeable for its green colour as it spews out gas.
Tony Okell of Port St Mary took advantage of rare clear weather to get a photo of the comet from Port Erin.
He posted the image to Facebook, saying it'll soon drop below the horizon and be invisible from Manx shores.
