Manx Utilities says it's trying to find out why residents in Santon keep losing power.
The organisation took to social media to explain the fault can fix itself and become undetectable, making it difficult to find and repair.
It says the fault - which seems to be triggered by cold weather - has led to five power outages since November 10, affecting hundreds of customers.
It's apologised for the inconvenience and says engineers are trying to find the problem.
