Meat lorry hits embankment after being forced off road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry was forced off the road.

At 11.40am yesterday an Isle of Man Meats vehicle had to take 'avoiding action' due to a white pick-up style truck 'encroaching' onto the wrong side of the road near to Glen Helen.

To avoid the truck, which was towing a caged trailer, the lorry hit an embankment.

Officers are asking any witnesses to contact Peel Police Station.
