
An MHK has raised concerns that young people on minimum wage are being disadvantaged.
North Douglas representative David Ashford took his grievance to the floor of the House of Keys earlier this week.
He wanted to know why people aged between 18 and 20 are paid less than people aged 21 or over despite doing the same job:
He was told by the Economic Development Minister that a lower minimum wage assists the entry of young workers into the labour market.
