That's the question Douglas North MHK David Ashford will ask in the House of Keys next week.
The sitting next Tuesday at 10am will see Mr Ashford will quiz Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer on the issue.
He wants to know why the department is committed to building so many one bedroomed houses.
