    MHK slams 'unbelievable' silence over patient transfer contract

    An Ayre and Michael MHK has described government's silence over a new patient transfer service as "unbelievable".

    Tim Baker slammed the Health and Social Care Minister in the House of Keys yesterday after she told him she couldn't talk about the tender process which saw Bridgewater Cars dropped: 

    The Merseyside firm lost the contract to taxi hospital patients from the Isle of Man from airports in the North West to their hospital appointments in Liverpool and Manchester.  

    Kate Beecroft told her colleagues until a 10 day 'standstill period' was over she couldn't discuss the issue:
