This week in Tynwald, Education Minister Daphne Caine faced questions about suspension rates, saying the Island's rate was higher than England or Scotland's.
Rushen MHK Michelle Heywood pointed out QEII school in Peel has suspended four per cent of its students at some point, compared to 13 per cent at Ballakermeen.
Mrs Caine said the department was currently investigating the issue and would be taking all the data into consideration:
