Minister vows to address construction industry skill shortage

If the construction industry has a 'skills shortage' - government will try and find a solution.

That's according to the Economic Development Minister - his department has just relaxed the work permit scheme.

Recently changes were made to legislation for Health and Social Care workers to help with the employment of nurses and social workers.

Laurence Skelly says it always considers the local worker first but says they listen carefully to claims from different industries:
