    Mother looks to make Onchan road safer for kids

    The mother of a child who was almost hit by a car in Onchan whilst crossing the road is campaigning for heightened safety measures in the area.

    Joanne Abrahams' son was nearly struck by a driver who failed to stop at a red light on Main Road between the junctions of School Road and Lakeside Road.
     
    Incensed by the volume of incidents there - Joanne is fighting to have a lollipop lady installed to help parents keep their children safe.  
     
    She says people need to report incidents to police:
     
     
    A public meeting is being held at 11am on April 11 at the Onchan Community Hall for anyone who wishing make their voices heard.
