Motorist takes out fencing on Mountain Road

The police are appealing for information following a road traffic incident on the Mountain Road over the weekend.

Between 10.30am and 12.25pm on Saturday a vehicle knocked down 25 metres of fencing on the section of the road known as the Mountain Mile.

The silver vehicle left the scene without reporting the incident.

There were approximately 500 sheep in a nearby field that could have subsequently got out, fortunately this didn't happen.

It is believed there were a number of motorists using the road at the time, which may have seen the vehicle responsible.

Anyone with any information in respect of this matter is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station or any Police Officer.
