Mountain Road shut until tomorrow, says DOI

The Department of Infrastructure says the Mountain Road will remain shut until at least tomorrow.

In an update on social media, the Doi says both it and the Beinn Y Phott Road and Tholt Y Will Road will remain shut until at least midday on Wednesday.

It says staff had begun clearing the roads but more snow fell overnight, setting back its efforts.

It says gritters have been at work today but anyone who need salt bins refilling can contact its customer services team on 850000 with the bin's location and reference number.
