Murder Trial: Police officers to give evidence from today

Police officers who interviewed a murder suspect following his arrest are due to give evidence at Douglas Courthouse today.

It marks the start of the second week of the trial of Ian Anderson from Castletown.

The 46-year-old denies murdering 60-year-old Ballabeg man Neil Roberts - his body was found at his home on Queen Street on December 1st 2013.

Last week the jury heard evidence from a Home Office pathologist who described how Mr Roberts had suffered extensive injuries - including having almost every bone in his face broken.

The 12-jurors also listened to evidence from Anderson's son who described how he witnessed part of the incident whilst on FaceTime.

The trial continues.
