New Castletown Road closure for serious Road Traffic Accident investigation

New Castletown Road to be closed betweeen 12noon and 2pm today between bottom of Brown Cow Hill Santon and Blackboards.

Police are closing New Castletown Road this afternoon to accommodate investigations into a serious Road Traffic Accident near the Fairy Bridge.

Just before 8PM last night there was a crash involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a car on the Main Douglas to Ballasalla Road in Santon.

The biker received fatal injuries.

New Castletown Road to be closed betweeen 12noon and 2pm between Ballavale Road and the Blackboards with HGV's being diverted along the Ballasalla to St Marks Road.

Police are thanking motorists in advance for their understanding.

Buses 1 and 2 from Douglas will divert Cooil Road Braid to St.Marks to Orrisdale Road to Black boards to pick normal route ,buses from the south will run reverse route untill the road re opens.
