New dog byelaws for South going to Tynwald

Two new sets of dog byelaws for the south of the Island will be laid before Tynwald next month.

When the court sits in June, Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall will lay dog control byelaws for Arbory and Rushen as well as Port Erin.

The new rules came into force in March and restrict where dogs can run free.

Breaching the byelaws can mean a £50 fixed penalty or a £2,000 fine.
