New life could be breathed into the Douglas Market Hall if an idea to link up with the Isle of Man College goes ahead.
Douglas Council has entered into talks with the educational facility to look at letting the art and design faculty use it.
It would serve as a base for degree students, give them studio space and allow them to showcase their work at exhibitions.
The proposals are now being progressed. If they get the go-ahead they could be in place for the 2014/15 academic year.
