New police sign-ups face tough journey

A record number of people who have signed up to become police officers have a tough challenge ahead.

More than 145 people applied for a job within the constabulary following a recent recruitment drive.

Now, 100 will be whittled down further following a fitness test and a selection challenge at Ard Whallin in November.

Those who make the cut will start their new careers in January.
