New travel pass for disabled passengers

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has reminded disabled passengers and their carers to apply for a new travel pass before the end of the month.

Disabled people who are eligible for the new version must apply by March 31st in order to continue to receive travel concessions.

It will be valid for five years and will allow free travel on scheduled bus services and on the railways.

Failure to carry the pass may result in its withdrawal and passengers being required to pay the appropriate fare.

Photo ID cards can be issued by the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday.
