Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says his department hasn't removed anyone's illegal bush in the past decade.
He faced a question for written reply from Rushen MHK Dr Michelle Haywood about action taken over trees, shrubs, or hedges planted too close to roads.
In his response, Mr Crookall said the department can issue notices to have the offending foliage removed or carry out the work and bill the owner.
But he said in the past 10 year the department hadn't taken any action.
