Nominations are open for Douglas Council’s community awards.
There are two categories; the community champion, who must be a Douglas ratepayer who has made a significant difference.
And a young hero, who is under 15 years old living in the city and has given an ‘outstanding contribution’.
The nomination criteria is ‘wide open’ and nominations will be accepted until 31 July after which the Mayor of Douglas and a three-person panel will choose the winners, which will be announced in September.
Nomination forms can be found here.
