A plea has gone out to anyone experiencing the symptoms of the Norovirus to stay at home.
The Public Health Directorate has confirmed that the so called winter vomiting bug is currently doing the rounds on the Island.
The virus, which is extremely contagious, causes vomiting and diarrhoea and symptoms can come on suddenly and last between 24 and 48 hours.
Some people also suffer from a mild fever, headaches, stomach cramps and aching limbs.
