Ronaldsway Director Ann Reynolds has told 3FM that she hasn’t heard anything more about Ellan Vannin Airways.
Up until the point that the mystery airline first came into public focus Ronaldsway hadn’t been notified about them, casting a shadow of doubt over their validity.
Recent attempts to establish a meeting collapsed after no response came from the company as to when they could meet.
Their target to begin operating in 2012 is now looking increasingly unlikely, with a great deal of pre-planning and financial commitment needed.
They would also need to acquire an Air Operators Certificate, a procedure that can take some time, requiring the operator to have personnel, assets and systems in place to ensure the safety of its employees and passengers.
