NSC steps in to help stranded bikers

The National Sports Centre has chipped in to help bikers stuck on the Island because of ferry cancellations.

Last night, the Ben my Chree's trip to Heysham didn't set off because of bad weather, and many can't now travel until Thursday.

The NSC in Groves Road says passengers with their Steam Packet tickets can use its swimming pool, spa suite and showers free of charge until their sailing is rescheduled.

It says if any further sailings are cancelled this week, those passengers can also take advantage of the offer.
