Olympic torch to reach Isle of Man tomorrow morning

The Olympic Torch will be making its way to the Island by plane tomorrow as part of its London 2012 parade tour.

By the time the Olympics are upon us it will have been taken over 8,000 miles of the UK, transported by 8,000 runners in total.

It will be reaching Douglas at 10.25am, starting at the NSC, onto Pulrose and then to the Loch Promenade, it will also be making its way to Laxey, Onchan, Ballasalla and finally Castletown.

Advance Manager of the Torch Relays for London 2012, Mark Honeybunn, spoke to 3FM about the two different modes of relay, the convoy mode where it will be transported in a vehicle and out of public view, and of course Torch bearer mode.
