Manx Care is slashing the number of elective surgeries it provides by almost a fifth, it's been revealed.
In response to a question for written reply, Health Minister Lawrie Hooper revealed the cuts began last month.
He says Manx Care cut the number of elective operations from 30 to 24 each week to save £220,000 this year.
It's after the organisation revealed it had overspent by almost £17 million this year.
