Over 600 doctors employed in last three years

Over 600 doctors have been employed by Manx Care in the last three years.

The Minister for Health was questioned by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse how many full time and part time doctors were hired between August 1 2022 and 2024.

Lawrie Hooper replied that 194 were employed August 2022, 211 were employed in August last year, and 237 were in August of this year.

The figures released don't include GPs who hold contracts with Manx Care, or doctors employed by Hospice Isle of Man.
