The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service is recruiting six new clinicians in light of an increase in waiting times.
The body says over 800 children are currently waiting for assessments and priority is being given to those with acute needs or the longest wait time.
It's part of an investment in CAMHS which will officially begin in November.
CAMHS asks that if appointments are no longer needed, to cancel ahead of time to allow other families to be contacted.
