Firefighters were called out last night following a fire at a house in Peel.
Crews in the West were called to a property on Queen a Street just after 10.35pm on Friday after the resident had reported a power cut followed immediately by smoke alarms going off.
Emergency services found a fire had quickly took hold of an electrical box in the hallway and began to spread to the roof space.
The team at the scene was then able to isolate the electrical supply and extinguish the flames before the house was the ventilated and checked for hotspots with thermal imaging cameras.
