Peel lifeboat called out twice in two days

Peel lifeboat has been launched twice in two days, both times to boats with engine related problems.

On Thursday of last week it went out to assist a small boat which had broken down 1.5 miles out of Peel, they were alerted after a member of the public spotted a flare, they were soon located and towed back into Peel.

On Friday it went out to assist a yacht on passage from Ramsey to Peel; the yacht was unable to make headway in the strong winds.

Again they were successfully located outside of Peel and returned into the harbour where they were able to moor.
