Making more people pay for their prescriptions will save the Government £3.86 million a year says Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft.
She faced a question for written answer this week in Tynwald from Douglas North MHK David Ashford on the issue.
Mrs Beecroft says over the past two years the department has clawed back more than £1.3 million in prescription charges.
She says the £3.86 million figure could fall if people buy pre-paid certificates.
