Peter Karran hits back after sacking

Peter Karran has hit back strongly after his sacking as Education Minister yesterday, insisting Liberal Vannin did not force him to vote against the Pinewood Investment.

The Onchan MHK was fired by Chief Minister Allan Bell who said Mr Karran had failed to recognise his ministerial responsibilities.

It was revealed Mr Karran had agreed to the £24million investment in the UK film studio when it was debated in the Council of Ministers - however in 

Tuesday’s Tynwald the former minister publicly criticised the proposal and voted against it.

The Chief Minister said Mr Karran had been told how to vote by his political party, an accusation the Lib Van leader furiously denies (see audio):
