A couple in Patrick have applied for permission to plant 1,000 trees on their land.
Dr Anthony Thick and Professor Ann Le Couteur are hoping to be given retrospective permission to plant the woodland.
They say they want to transform a pasture on Lhagg Road in Dalby into a native woodland.
In their application, they say they'd like to have species such as wild cherry, hazel and hawthorn on the site.
