Planning submitted for Cambrian Place redevelopment

Chairman of the Douglas Council David Christian has said work is progressing well on plans to overhaul Cambrian Place.

The £12.7 million investment will see the area redeveloped with the creation of a new library, offices, a car park with 460 spaces and a number of public conveniences.

The project will represent the largest undertaken by the council outside of housing, it’s estimated the relocation of their offices will save around £117,000 annually.

Councillor Christian said they have now submitted the planning application for the works, with them to be heard by the inspector by the end of this month:
