    Plans for new emergency radio system delayed

    Emergency services will have to wait until next month to find out if they will get a new communications system.

    The Department of Home Affairs asked Tynwald to approve £5 million to replace the current TETRA system. 
     
    However, it wasn't an idea that found favour with some politicians - the proposal has now been adjourned for further discussion at November's sitting of Tynwald.

    She wants a committee set up to look into it - Onchan MHK Zac Hall is also against spending the money, saying we should be looking at the UK's plans:
