A church hall in the south of the Island could become the home for a childrens play school, if planners give the go ahead.
The Vicar & Wardens of Rushen are seeking permission to use Port St Mary Church Hall for the Happy Valley Playschool bertween 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday for children aged two to four.
In the proposal, they say whilst the hall has good facilities it's currently under utilised, and that the Church Council is 'looking at ways to better serve the community'.
They add the church would would retain access to the venue on evenings and weekends for social and community events.
