Plans submitted for new private school in Douglas

Permission is being sought to convert a residential property called Eaglehurt on Belmont Hill into a primary school for children aged between three and 11. 

 

It's been submitted by the same people who run Market Square Preparatory School in Castletown. 

 

The Douglas facility would have seven classes with each one having a capacity of 10 pupils - there would also be a small pre-school on site.

 

Planning is currently pending consideration.
