Nine vehicles were stopped this morning as part of a road safety initiative.
Police officers stationed at the Creg ny Baa were looking for cars with defective lights.
Two of the vehicles have been asked to attend the Vehicle Testing Centre once their defects have been rectified.
The Roads Policing Unit says it will continue to run similar checks in other parts of the Island over the next few weeks.
