It's no longer safe to leave your house or car unlocked on the Isle of Man.
That's the message from police following a recent spate of burglaries which have resulted in a number of people being arrested.
17 homes have been broken into since July and car thefts have risen dramatically in the last week - in most cases both had been left insecure.
Sergeant Andy Kneen, from the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team, says people can take steps to mitigate the problem:
