Police warn businesses against scam callers

Police have been receiving reports of business getting scam calls.

Companies have been getting calls from people selling adverts in crime prevention leaflets and magazines claiming to be 'endorsed' by the Isle of Man Police

Officers say in the past businesses try to use their name to get money for genuine publications - but clarify that the IOM Constabulary isn't involved and the money will not benefit them. 

Police urge people to be wary and perform internet checks before handing over money.
