Police are warning householders in Laxey to make sure their belongings are secure after a recent spate of thefts.
Thieves have targeted outbuildings in the area twice in a week, taking power tools and gardening equipment.
Officers say although such incidents are rare, people can make it tougher for opportunist thieves by making sure sheds and garages are locked.
They're also encouraging people to contact them on 631212 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 if they spot anything suspicious.
