Politicians cannot influence increased paedophile sentencing

That's the message from Chief Minister Allan Bell in response to a petition calling for him to take action on ensuring that the law reflects victims' suffering. 

 

Special needs nursery nurse Lisa Taylor is spearheading the campaign - which has garnered support from over 750 signatories. 

 

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson has joined a number of Ministers and MHKs in pledging their support.
