Crew from Port Erin Coastguard were called to help a man with an injured leg yesterday evening.
At around 6.30pm, the team met colleagues from the Ambulance Service and located the casualty on a footpath near Eairy Cushlin.
The man had badly damaged his leg and needed to be extracted.
Both crews worked together to stabilise the injury and carry the casualty up the track to the Ambulance.
The Coastguard was back on station by 9pm.
