A new project is encouraging local fishermen to help clean the seas around the Island.
The Fishing For Litter (FFL) initiative involves the government providing crews with reusable marine litter sacks - fishermen can then collect waste and then dispose of it in designated quayside bins.
More than 20 Manx boats are already signed up to the scheme which in the UK has already seen more than 1,632 tonnes of litter removed from the waters.
Each Island port will also be partnered with a local school and information from the waste which is brought ashore will be used to educate children about the issue.
