    Public Health issues Norovirus advice

People are being warned not to go to the hospital, or a doctor's surgery, if they've caught the Norovirus.

Also known as the 'winter vomiting bug' the virus causes diarrhoea and vomiting and is highly contagious.

Regular handwashing before and after using the toilet, and before eating, can help stop it spreading.

People with the virus are asked not to go out until 48 hours after all symptoms have gone and to call for medical advice rather than going in person to stop the bug contaminating others.
