Queen awards BEM to local district nurse and midwife

A former district nursing sister and midwife at Noble's Hospital has been awarded a British Empire Medal:

That's Dorothea Gell - who's been given the title for services to the Manx community and her work with Island-based charities.

She's currently a committee member for Manx Mencap, vice chairman of the Royal British Legion Women's Section, and raises funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
