Relatives can look after key worker's children - as long as they're not mixing with other children

If you're a key worker, Grandparents or close relatives can look after your children - as long as they're not mixing with other children.

That's according to Health Minister David Ashford who spoke in today's Covid-19 media conference.

It comes following all Islands schools, nurseries and childminders closing today as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

Mr Ashford said Grandparents or close relatives can be used to cover child minding for key workers who must work, so as long as they're not mixing with other children.

For example you can't drop your children to your sister's home if she also has children.
