Castletown commissioners say they'll try to identify irresponsible dog owners who've let their dogs foul pavements.
On Facebook, the local authority says its street sweeper is currently out of commission while it undergoes maintenance.
But the board says it's aware of a dog fouling hotspots near School Hill and Bridge St.
It's appealing for people to report fouling to its offices and it will clean the area as quickly as possible.
