The organisers of the Southern 100 have announced a rider was killed in this mornings 600cc Supersport race.
Local man Mark Madsen-Mygdal died following the incident at Stadium Corner, he was 23 years old.
He leaves a mother and father.
The Southern 100 team have extended their sincere condolences to families, relatives and friends.
The organisers are now carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident; the Coroner of Inquests has been informed.
Racing is expected to commence at 2.15, with the course now closed.
