There’s been positive news from the Chelsea Hospital where Robin Gibb is currently residing, with reports that his fighting spirit is confounding his doctors.
After a very grave forecast for the Manx man he has now emerged from his coma and is said to be lucid and talking to his family members who have been at his bedside throughout.
In a statement his medical team has confirmed that the star had brain swelling from liver failure, a severe pneumonia and a weakened immune system from malnutrition.
His medical team go onto say ‘it is testament to Robin’s extraordinary courage, iron will and deep reserves of physical strength that he has overcome quite incredible odds to get where he is now.
They finished their statement by saying the road ahead remains uncertain for Robin, with work now ongoing to ensure he can eat and swallow safely and breath without assistance.
